Yep. My 1962 P/J. My prized possession 
Doesn't get the love it deserves though, as I don't gig it out, just for rehearsing and studio work, can't take any chances of her getting stolen. But I gig out my SECOND fave bass. My 1975 P/J (fits in the mix better with my band anyways)

I've also drilled for covers, but rarely use them. I had to take a dremel to the bridge pup route to fit the dimarzios, so I've effectively ruined any resale chances, which is fine by me. I'll never sell this bass.

My current fave is a MIM Jazz bass. I upgraded the bridge and nut.

It'snot my go-to because I understand that in some situations, it's just not as practical as my UB500, but my honest-to-god favorite bass is my Michael Kelly Club Custom 5 I bought on impulse at GC. She was my first bass, and since I played her so long, is the only bass i can really feel comfortable playing. Others just kinda sit there, but she feels alive in my hands. I adjusted her action to the lowest it can get without buzzing, strung her with Chromes, and wear her on a Get'em Get'em strap, and she feels like an extension of my fingertips. Other basses will come and go, but I'll be damned if she ever leaves my hands.

Not a perfect bass, but it sounds great, plays great for almost all genres and gets loads of compliments. Great bass
To be fair to the bass, I can't slap anyway and others on this forum can slap on their Rickies and sound wonderful. If it was an easier slapper (for me), it would darn near be perfect.

My 62 RI P-bass. We've been going steady for 3 years now, and I can't for see replacing it anywhere in the future. I think a lot of the love comes from the neck shape (shallow C) and fretboard radius (7.25"), and I feel pretty comfortable on most basses with similar specs. But this one is mine, and ergo is better than all the other ones. It also has a scarf.

This is my 1982 Hondo II Model 1181 Longhorn. There is nothing about this bass I would change. I would never give her up. Bought her new in 1982.
I wish I had one, but the closest things are the American Deluxe 2010 Jazz Bass V (the dkx P bass would be THE ONE if it came in 5 strings)

Monogamy works for my marriage, but life is too short for just one bass, no matter how versatile it is. Of my nine basses, I suppose I could narrow it down to these three...
I have one of the original 03' Lakland Skyline Duck Dunn's. I have played other bass's but this is THE ONE for me. I've been completely satisfied with this bass since I started playing in 02' (Still a newbe on bass). I did buy another bass, a new Fender Am Dlx Pbass, great sounding and playing bass. But I sold it cause I never played it. I always gravitated to the Lakland. I'm about to pick up a Sting Bass, which will probably end up with a new home. I should start a "Monogamous Bass" club for those of us who are happy with only one bass.
