I'm not talking a brand or a model, but one bass you own that is your absolute favorite bass, you consider absolutely perfect? Post pics!

there it is. A heavily modded 03 mim jazz bass. Delano pickups I cant remember the model but its the ones that were soposed to be like eb stingray pickups with the large magnets. And got completely re wired new pots and jack, a warmoth tort pickguard. hipshot ultralight tuners. And my latest mod will be a east j retro active preamp once i come up with the money.

Yeah, My Alleva-Copollo EUT5 -Primavera Body, Maple board- active/passive-VTC, & 2 band EQ SUPERB. If I wanted any more basses- it just makes me want another AC. They're that good.

I'm going to get flamed for this, but even though I don't really play it out anymore, I have Gene Simmons Punisher bass which is incredibly fun and smooth playing. Sounds like a monster too!

My 2005/6 Highway 1 Precision with a J Worrell P pickup. It sounds so deep, clean, and pristine through my SVT-II / Genz 610-XB2. Seriously, nothing else I own has so much depth and shimmer to it.

No. In 20 years of playing I have never found one perfect do-it-all bass.

My current favourite and the only bass I've ever bought that I knew I would never sell is my '91 Thumb, but it's not perfect, I love the sounds but it's a little bit neck-divey.

I've thought about building a 5-string 24-fret Jazz, active and passive, but I often think it would end up being my idea of ugly or just plain characterless, and it would collect dust while I continued to gig my Warwick.

Why would anyone laugh? If anyone were to laugh at that choice, I would have doubts about their bass "expertise".
