DOES ANYONE HERE USE ROUNDWOUNDS????

I got my foot caught in a bear trap once. Nearly starved, and after three days of exposure I bit the bullet and used the A string from a set round wounds I had in my pack to saw off my foot at the ankle.

Not sure why, but the A string seemed to work best. G string was less painful but man it was taking forever.

Sounds like you've had a rough go with the round wounds

I currently own ten EBs and every one of them has 45-105 Nickel Round Wounds except two that have 46-102. I used to use only Picato, and then they quit selling in the US. Then I really liked whatever Peavey was putting in their "Balanced 45" set, but those went away too. Calloused by the heartache of loyalties torn asunder, I'm not really too picky about brand anymore. They all are too bright for a couple 'o three weeks, then they settle in for what's usually months. I change them when the voices tell me to.

One time I was playing my tort-guard Pbass in the middle of the woods when I got horribly lost. I ended up on the wrong side of a raging river as night was falling. Thankfully I was playing flats at the time, so I was able to make a cable bridge that sounded boring and lifeless, cross the river, and get back to playing only root notes on the other side.

/rounds fo' life yo.

To anybody who refers to flats as "dead" it is obvious that they have never played a good set of labellas or even some Ernie ballss very lively sounding flats especially the labellas

Ive played Chromes, Ernie Balls, DR flats and a few more. Then I put DR Lo Riders back on and got the sparkle back. So I'm gonna have to say that flats are dead sounding.

No. Flats for ever.

Haven't played rounds for 4 or 5 years. Recently thought I'd give them another shot and threw a set of EB Slinkys on my Lakland.... Yikes ! Zingy, twangy, harsh and felt like steel wool on my fingers. They lasted a day and I went back to the smooth comfort of my GHS Precision flats.
