Does anyone make a 6 string set for a medium scale bass?

There are also a couple of brands that make custom string request.
Not sure of the cost though, but I have a 32” 6 string I was thinking of doing this for.

Luckily, it is strung through body and Ti’s fit it.

Can’t seem to find anyone who makes a 6 string set for a 32” scale bass
Contact Aurora Strings. They make custom sets for of a variety of applications. They may be able to help you.

I've been using their strings for years and love them. Their customer service is usually also excellent, with quick response times (usually from the owner himself).

La Bella do short and medium scale sets for 6 string, their RX Nickels and Steels seem to be availble off the shelf, but for anything else you'll likely have to reach out direct. I know they used to make to order but there might be a minimum purchase order now, unless you order through a dealer who can order in bulk?

Another great option is Newtone Strings here in the UK - Newtone Strings – Handmade Custom guitar strings, made in the UK
They wind custom sets to your requirements, and they are brilliant strings, and not expensive for what you're getting.
I play 31.5" basses, and they make me a 6 string set, with heavier cores to compensate for the slight loss of tension thanks to the shorter scale, and they are simply awesome.
They would be my first recommendation, especially if you're in the UK!

Things like this is why I'm such an advocate of a reverse headstock on a short- or medium-scale bass, so that you could use any long-scale strings on it. Now for an ad-hoc solution, I believe La Bella makes a set (Rx, not Bass VI)? Or maybe if you could find a 5-string medium scale set, adding a long-scale high C string wouldn't hurt.

There ya go!

Galli strings makes them. That's what came on my 31" six string from Manne, they're nice strings. I'd recommend the set with the .35 C string which is something I'm not sure anyone else makes but feels/sounds awesome at shorter scales.

I've also just used regular long scale string as well which worked fine for everything other than the B string but that will depend on how your bass is designed.

Usually the C does not have nay taper and can tolerate the non silk to be wrapped around. If you go to GHS website, you can buy directly. Over 50 or maybe 60 now gets you free shipping, They have medium scale for some models not all but they sell singles
Oh well -- you can't build a set for medium scale even with GHS, so you may have to do something on the bridge like a spacer . The hard part is the B string . What is the string length needed from bridge end to where it clears the nut. Magma strings are actually short even their 24. Their flats do not work for through body stringing and I think their non flats also taper very quickly. But I think it will be hard. Did you ask the builder. I really think if they do odd scales for 6 strings, they should provide strings also

Can’t your Manne be strung with long scale strings because of the bridge and through body? Not sure what yours looks like, but a friend’s works that way.

MTD builds medium and short scale 6 strings, and sells branded string sets.

FYI, they also build the occasional headless bass. Not sure what strings they use for them though. You could call and ask; they’re pretty helpful.
Unfortunately we don't have packaged 6 string sets available. OP might be wise to try LaBella for that.

For our headlesses, we use LaBella double ball end strings. The Hipshot hardware we use accommodates basically any single ball end string you might want use though.

Thanks for the clarification. I was going by the graphic on that page which shows 6 string sets, but those are long scale. I should have checked the actual drop down list.
