Does anyone play another instrument?

Banjo is my main instrument.

Old time fiddle songs, clawhammer style.

I used to play bass a bit, and quit.

I just started again a couple weeks ago because a friend is starting a band and needed a bassist.

Played trumpet from 6th grade through 12th. Played a little bit of flugelhorn in high school also.

Started playing bass the following summer, and it is now primary instrument. However, I would love to buy a flugelhorn and throw it on some of my bands recordings

I started to take piano lessons at five and stopped at nine.....I still practice it everyday on my own.

I was also on saxophone in junior high...but only for a year..

I picked up bass because I love the instruments with low tone. I would like to learn cello someday..

I play drums and various other percussion instruments at church. I can claw some chords on a keyboard. I've used my user name as a screen name, which used ot lead people to conclude that I play banjo, which I do not.

My main instrument is actually the upright, but I've been playing electric for about 7 years now and have been playing the cello for about 2 years. I actually really like playing the cello. It's an interesting change.

Isn't it awesome to be able to play, even if not expert status, many instruments? Every experience you have on different types of instruments (voice included) helps shape how you work as a musician. I love it. I love playing drums too, even if I suck at em. I want to learn guitar a lot better, especially chord theory so I can apply it to bass. I used to play piano from 9-11 and then trumpet in 4th/5th grade. Never enjoyed "lessons" but it was my teachers I think that kinda ruined it. Doesn't help having the head organist at the church teach you piano when you don't like playing church music.
