Despiau CT 12, 150 mm; it should cost you under $50 from International Violin or similar disitributor / shop and approx. $20 more for the uninstalled adjusters. Every luthier and player in the country will like your choice and the street value of your bass will go up approx. $400 if installed professionally; not the case if you save $5 and get the Asian import model, regardless of who installs it. I've been seeing many online places charging more for the lower grade imports than a genuine Despiau lately. 75% of the cost of a new bridge installation is labor. All bridge blanks arrive very oversize and have to be hand fit to that specific bass; a tedious process that is unavoidable, then the adjusters are installed last. You'll need several abrasive and cutting handtools, a good measuring device, a good drill press, and set of taps as a minimum. All that is in the hopes that everything goes well and you don't have to use up a second new blank because something went wrong or the tap did not cut the threads et cetera.
Actually do or observe this installation process to full completion over many many hours to a high level of professional quality just once and you'll realize what a reasonable and fair price installation is. When they are available to the public, which is not always, I also have had good success with the bridge blanks made by the crew at Upton. When everyone in the country is sold out and waiting on the next shipment of Despiau to come in a couple of months, I'll use a Joseph Teller bridge blank with the adjusters already installed. They are softer and much lower on my happy list, but still better than the Asian imports. Blah, blah, blah....
Your American Standard
may have the bassbar in a funky spot and work better with a 158mm bridge. Personally, I string my 1936 American Standard with a fixed bridge, not an adjustable; better voice and less junk to fuss with on the gig.
Good luck and do right by that old bass. Vintage American Standards are highly regarded and will be going long after you have gone to the big gig in the sky....
