I want a GK amp. At GC its $599. RMCAudio.com gave me a price of $499. Will the Guitar Center match it?

Call them and ask. Or better still give your business to RMCAudio.

Kinda hard to say. What will fly in one GC might not in another. You'll never know 'til you ask at your local store.

Usually yes...take your email from RMC audio in as proof.

  5. And tell them you want a free set of strings too for Gas money getting there :)

    Yeah, they usually do.

+1 That's who I'd give my business to!
Also save sales tax and shipping.

I know they will match all advertised pricing, I'm not sure they will match the RMC "email for quote" pricing. I've read that some will, I think it mainly depends on what employee you're dealing with.

GC matches advertised prices, but like any good (or bad) store should, they're very finicky and skeptical when it comes to e-mailed quotes. 9 times out of 10, they'll say "no" to you for presenting such a quote.

Back in March this year, I convinced a GC employee to special-order me a left-handed Schecter Stiletto Elite-4 at the profit-killing low price of $475.00 flat, using just an e-mailed quote from a Schecter dealer in Colorado and my history of GC patronage. Most other GC employees I've known would have never done that, though (and believe me, I've tried with other products).

On a side note... I sold that Elite-4. I probably shouldn't have, since it was a nice special-ordered bass, and I got an amazing deal on it...

Like all the others have said, why not support the shop that is selling these GK products to everyone at great prices? And if you are worried about having to send it back if something goes wrong, RMC tests all products before shipping, and is extremely helpful if something does go wrong with the product. RMC Audio is a stand up shop.

So many complain about GC experiences and the dumbing-down megastore mindset - yet at least a few seem to think purchasing there is preferable even if it requires a price match.

And you can drive to GC, buy the amp, live with it for up to 30 days and return it if you decide that it is not for you. You can't do that with RMC.

Yes, that is their claim and they will. Just be sure that you get a "new" sealed box. No open box or demo units. GC has a way of trying to get you to take a floor model or open box item at a lower than GLP price. Good Luck.

I called in to get mine from RMC audio, the guys were really cool about it. Its nice to try out stuff at GC but sometimes they can be awfully pushy and a bit annoying. I would just give my business to RMC.
