Does Scratchy Pots Affect The Sound/Tone/Output?

Many electronic contact cleaners will destroy pots. It’s the wrong material for the job. Some of the CRC products are the worst offenders.

A pot is NOT a metal to metal contact, the sliding interface between the resistive element and the metal wiper is quite vulnerable as is the lubricants and plastic components inside modern pots.

The fact is, generally when a pot starts creating fuzz distortion when it isn't being moved, has become a rectifier of sorts due to the oxide on the wiper. Alcohol alone will often clean this, but will not prevent it from oxidizing before long.

I highly doubt LPS would be putting graphite into anything foodgrade; in any case, you don't want graphite anywhere near a pot, or most electronics for that matter.

Automotive contact cleaner will destroy electronics. No electronics contract cleaner will. The fact you worded it it that way tells me all I need to know about your related experience. The most widely used product in "the industry" is Ideal and has been longer than I have been alive. CRC was marketed more towards industrial use and LPS is a 'new kid on the block, like deoxit. Read the contents labels or sds... 😉
First things first. I said widely used product not mostly. So that shows how much you actually read my post. 2 DeOxit is not an automotive product at least not the one I posted, for faders and pots. How many cars have traditional faders and pots now. Lastly assuming you “know” my experience from one post you didn’t even read properly doesn’t really prove you know anything about my experience.
So I bid you a good day, and maybe next time you post try less snark and leave it to objective criticism.🫶
