^this^I would recommend going out and trying a variety of newer generation cabinets and see how you like them.
Size matters, sure, but I'm not about to use an SVT and 810 on a tiny little restaurant gig playing jazz standards.
You and you're 700 will be very happy with any combination of those cabs. The single 112 will handle small and some medium indoor events. For larger gigs, two 112's may surprise you even on an outdoor stage. Adding a 212 along with your 112 also provides a very flexible modular solution set.Update for y'all.
I pulled the trigger on a used Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12. I'll need a second cab eventually. I figure a second 112.
What about a 212? Will my 700rb handle that?
+1It's not the size it's the science and mojo these days. There are many small and light weight cabs that can do the job
The actual thread title we should leave to our wonderful sisters of the bass to answer.
Oh dear! I’m being rude again! LOL
Edit: But I see I’m not alone in this!![]()
And so I left this thread alone, until now. I enjoy authoritative high fidelity reproduction where I have control over the frequency modulation. This is how I select my rig.
