Bass weight important?
It is to me. I will not consider a bass over 9.5 pounds.
If you don't give me the accurate weight in your ad, I will not give it a second look.
Depends on the bass. You can't get a Steinberger less than 10 pounds because they don't exist. Uncomfortable? Not at all, because of the lovely strap wing. A ten-pound P-bass? I couldn't last a set with that.
Same here. I ask about the weight when I'm seriously interested. And I have bought basses here after asking the weight. Maybe the folks who say no one ever buys after asking about the weight are (A) generally selling heavy basses or (B) give vague answers. No sweat. I don't waste my time (or yours) unless I'm genuinely interested. But if I AM interested and the weight isn't listed, I'll ask, because it's important to me.
Why not just google it? If I was selling my bass I probably wouldn't think to post the weight in the ad.
