Does this Tort Jazz Scratch Plate need to go?

I only like tort on white or natural finish basses. I think it looks great, so I’d vote keep it!

Tort on white is by far the best jazz bass look.

Olympic white is the only color on which tort works for me.

Pale natural wood isn’t bad either with tort.

The poorest choice of pickguards is asking what others like for pickguards, instead of choosing one you like. Pay more attention to your preferences. Go with that. Go with your gut. If you don't like it immediately or in the long run, change it. Or hell, it's a Jazz Bass. Leave the pickguard OFF, until you figure out what to do next, if anything at all.

For me, a white body with a maple fretboard screams out for a black pickguard.

It needs to go...to ME! Keep it -- great look. But I'd steel-wool it down to match the wear of the body. Pics make it look a bit too shiney/new.

Do like I do.......get the black...then swap them when mood suits.

Get a white/ mint/ parchment as well

Changing is like getting a new bass each time!
