Thankfully my last 2 GF's (5+yrs with one, almost a year with the current one) both love(d) to hear me play. If were inspired and working on new stuff, and they weren't there, I could just set the phone down and they'd listen. My ex actually cried a few times when I came up with stuff for her. BUT - my ex was SUPER insecure, and would have never seen me play a show (her pastor convinced her a woman of God should never enter a place with a bar that serves alcohol - not sure why we were able to eat at Outback, lol). My current GF has been to every show, helps me make demos, move my equipment - very involved. Guess I've been lucky.
