Yes, myself and Major Metal have both posted lengthy and extremely positive threads about custom basses he built for us. My impression (could be wrong) is that he is your man for vintage-styled basses rather than modern-styled. Also for custom finish painting he's one of the best.

Major Metal has a beautiful Dolan based on (I think) a Univox violin/EB-1 style bass. He seems very satisfied with it. I'm sure you can find a couple of threads if you search around.
