I just put a set of Dominants on after reading many positive reviews here. They have only been on for a day so I don't really feel qualified to give a full review other than to say the feel and sound great compared to the 2+ year old set of spiros orchs they replaced. A bit more booty with plenty of sustain and they seem easier to start with the bow than the spiros.

I've done a search but couldn't find anyone who had used these strings until they were worn out. I'm curious as to how long I can expect to use them. TI's site says they don't last as long as steel strings but considering that spiros still sound ok after several years this could mean anything.

It would be fair to say you could get around a year out of them. Unlike steel, synthetic strings tend to wear out a lot faster. They lose their attack, and the pitch starts to waver.
