Dunn was one of the bassists to inspire me to play bass. When I was in high school, a bunch of guys from our jazz band started a Blues Brothers type coverband. I still hang out with the trombone player and talk about how those were the days. I keep telling him we just need to get the band back together.......

Here is a great one to start with for learning music notation because the song structure is pretty straightforward....and because it's a Blues Brothers classic

This is a sweet transcription. Where is it from, and can I get more like it? For a guy who is just starting to practice reading music, this is perfect! Not to mention a sweet line for a great song.

It's a bummer that "What Duck Done" is out of print. Tim Tindall's site is down, and I couldn't find a new copy on amazon, b&n, or anywhere else.

I bought this book about a year ago and, IMO, it is perfect for intermediate players. The CD tracks are good, and the songs are relatively easy (compared to Jamerson, for example). At the time, his web site was offering the 1st edition with standard notation, and a 2nd edition with tablature. I chose the standard notation, so I could work on my reading skills. I think this book is perfect for someone who has been playing for 2 or 3 years (or longer, but still isn't so great, like me ).

I hope Tim Tindall comes back from wherever he is and puts out a reprint of this awesome book.

Does anyone have trouble with the 'Hard to Handle' bassline or is it just me. Finding that string skip/rake in the verse to be a bit of a challenge,
