Tony Perry (UNT, BU) and Ben Wheeler (Peabody, Carnegie Mellon) won the Louisiana Philharmonic audition. Tony got the tenure track position and Ben got the one year position.

Sorry I didn't post this a lot earlier - Back in December, the Rochester Phil hired two people to split the one B-contract opening (one year position). Winners were Eric Sherman (Indiana, Carnegie Mellon) and Nick Jones (Carnegie Mellon).

Colin Corner won the audition for principal. Many great finalists - Ed Paulsen, Brad Aikman, Brett Shurtliffe, and several others, but I don't have names (sorry!).

I don't know if it is happening this time, but most of the NY Phil auditions have a gap between prelims and semis.

I'm only 18 so no big auditions yet. But mark my words, for when the Almighty Professorslinky hits the audition circuit it will be a wave of glorious thunder that will crush all those that stand it its path.

And lastly, section in the NY phil is not that good of a job. I heard Levinson will be retiring after my sophomore year so I think I'll just take his job. I'm also considering forcing Edgar Meyer into early retirement.
