Double Bass Double Bass snapped at the heel

Good on you mate!

That 105/205 mix is the real deal. Be careful not to damage the new joint when taking off the FB.
Hope all's good with you Ortsom man,yes thanks for the advice and I'm hoping and by the looks of it [and knowing what to expect!] it should just crack off nicely for me.I might just leave it be for now and see if there's much lifting with the changing of the weather and central heating effects ,as it's a cig paper gap and near the end of the neck about 3.5 inch of it on the one edge.
Cheers mate

As an aside, it is TB policy not to discuss moderator interactions with other members publicly.

Ah, but you're not a moderator any more; you're an administrator, which means you are allowed to act immoderately by revealing TB policy.

You could at least elucidate the differences between being suspended and being banned.

Well I mean it must have been on the Forum at some point ,so would be known anyway, just that I've been away a while,so missed it..
And it would be good to know the policy that you used to "Ban' the user .
Was very helpful in here so was a little surprised to see that's all..

All I can do is repeat that we don't discuss actions regarding other members. Think about it: if the roles were reversed, not many members would want moderators talking about them when they couldn't respond. In general, most users who end up with a "banned" tag eventually get there because they refuse to acknowledge that the forums rules that all users agree to upon signing up for the site also apply to them even if they don't like or agree with them. And that's about all I can say about any situation like this, regarding any user.

Regarding the difference between suspended and banned: suspended is temporary, banned is permanent.

At this point, also due to the site rules, I humbly request that we get the thread back on subject.

June 2022...still here!
Still holding up - had to go through this post again so pleased I did as I was about to epoxy the fingerboard back on again - i'd forgotten we use hide glue for that of course..
