Bass player here, but I own the whole band PA and drums.

I wanted another drum kit so my buddy/drummer didn’t have to tear down the studio kit, set up for a gig, tear down, re-setup for rehearsal… you get the picture.

So I got an identical kit, reg $599.99, for $122.74, it arrive today, and he’s setting it up as we speak.

I’m feeling a little guilty, but I’m handling it.

Nope. I wouldn't buy something using obvious loopholes in a system to see if I could sneak something by them. No different than sliding a pedal in my gig bag on the way out the store. They didn't find it, so why should I tell them.

Makes you wonder if selling on talkbass is such a good idea.

Yikes...moral police again. Quick everyone hide your gear!

Let's not debate the ethics of taking advantage of this...the intent of the the thread was to let people know about it and to show off the gear we got...if you want to complain or lecture, start another thread and everyone can weigh in.

I took full advantage of this snafu so am the last one to preach about it, but it does sort of remind me of the Seinfeld episode:

Kramer walks in

Kramer : Hey you got it.

Jerry : What happened to my stereo? It's all smashed up.

Kramer : That's right. Now it looks like it was broken during shipping and I

insured it for $400.

Jerry : But you were supposed to get me a refund.

Kramer : You can't get a refund. Your warranty expired two years ago.

Jerry : So were going to make the Post Office pay for my new stereo?

Kramer : It's just a write off for them.

Jerry : How is it a write off?

Kramer : They just write it off.

Jerry : Write it off what?

Kramer : Jerry all these big companies they write off everything.

Jerry : You don't even know what a write off is.

Kramer : Do you?

Jerry : No. I don't.

Kramer : But they do and they are the ones writing it off.

Jerry : I wish I just had the last twenty seconds of my life back.

I got my 2 MBX cabs.

Anyways the head on the stack was not bought during this deal , its a used 800rb by GK that was 268$ shipped Via ebay there about 800$ new.

The cabs cost 159.99$ each , i used both 20% off codes and dads50. A week before i almost bought one of these cabs for 275$ which at the time was 75$ and I saw that as a deal,silly me:D both cost me 319.98$ shipped.

This will be a great rig and with the deal on the head and cabs only cost me 587.93$ for a rig worth about 1500$, good times:)



Oh look at the picture where UPS dinged my cab! I know I got a great deal but it bugs me they bashed my cab in, the dents the size of a quarter, oh well.
