Is it possible to have a fralin p pup, and reverse mordern p pup, like emg or delano, in the same place if you made a custom cover? I would like to mod a pbass with new pups and a pre. I would have a switch that switched from fralin and tone, to mute, to emg with pre.

I believe Pete Skjold at www.skjolddesign.com has played around with that exact idea; two split Ps all under the same cover, and you can select any of the four combinations of bass and treble coils (not sure if you can do all four). If you shoot him an e-mail he will probably be able to sell you one.

The pups aren't (isn't?) made to sound like a p, but it does seem to confirm it would possible. I've allways liked Skjolds special Hipshot A bridge.

No, because P pickups overlap quite a bit when you install them, even without the covers. Unless the pickups used blade magnets, off-setting them too much is a definite no-no.
