What double sided tape (sheets) is everyone using for pickguards with no screws? I was looking at 3M 4905 which is available in 8.5"x11" sheets and is 0.5mm thick. I would prefer something thinner if I can find it.

My favorite double-sided tape for Luthier work is FastCap SpeedTape. It's very thin and very strong, and intended to be permanent. It's made for putting Formica edgebanding on laminate-covered surfaces. I don't see that they sell it in sheets, but they do have it in 6 1/2" wide tape rolls (for $77!). I normally buy it in 1" wide rolls. I would use multiple strips on the back of a pickguard to attach it. It would be on there for good, as long as you cleaned contaminants off the surface of the finish. It can be removed, with some patient work. The adhesive is very strong on smooth flat surfaces.

That looks great. It' a small pickguard so a few 1" strips will work. Thanks!

3M Scotch Permanent Double-Sided tape is available at Walgreens or similar stores and works well in many applications. I use it to attach routing templates, one strip on each surface. They make a non-permanent version also - not what you want.
