I was not planning at all to buy a new bass. I went to buy some strings to my local dealer and he suggested me to try a second hand sunburst Tony Franklin precision that was standing on the wall. I liked it a lot, very easy to play and great sound. Price? 1500€. At first I thought it was fair. But it has a mod and not sure if if I like it: instead of 3 position swith they added a volume pot. Furthermore, I’ m not sure the mod was well done, since both pick-up volumes don’ t taper smoothly (pots between 0 and 80% rolled, even don’ t sound and then, suddenly they sound near max).
My doubt is: do you find that the price for that bass is right?
