Douglas and Brice fretlesses.....

My SX is great, only it has dead notes on the G in 4 places.:crying:
I was looking at various cheapo fretlesses with 5 strings.
Could I just fix my SX, or what basses have no dead notes that cost less than $220?:hiding::help:

My SX 5 strings (both fretted and fretless) seem to have no noticeable dead spots. Just lucky I guess.

Which brings up the point: If you want a cheap (or ANY) bass without nasty dead spots, you need to carefully play EVERY note on the neck BEFORE you buy it. OK? Fixing a bass to get rid of dead spots usually involves something like buying a new graphite neck for it.
