Douglas Bass Mods?

So I just got my Douglas WEB 846 fretted. It's definitely the best investment I've made as far as basses go, but I was wondering what kind of modifications you guys have made on these?

I did check out that one guys page with the pickup covers and knobs (mad props to you, it looks great!). What other suggestions do you guys have?

Boring answer, but I'm not sure I'd do anything quite yet. I have been stunned at how well this bass sounds and how well you can set it up. Consider that it is string-through already and that the tuners are actually quite good. I'm not sure how Rondo is making money off of this one. I may have gotten a particularly good one, but I'm not touching the thing for the time being.

(that being said, I'm not exactly sure that I'm 100% sold on the semi-active pickups).

I have played out with my 846 three times now and I love it more every time. I find that the electronics are hotter than my Peavey TL-5, and have no problem with them, also the controls do allow a lot of varience in the tone. I play through a BOSS ME20B effects pedal so I found the ideal setup on the douglas and leave it there, selecting different settings on the pedal for variance. Thanks for the complements on the modification. I just finished the larger Jade knobs today and the glue is drying on the rosewood covers.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll leave my douglas just the way it is for awhile. Maybe some new strings...

New strings are a given...most people replace the stockers on anything but a brand-new high dollar bass.
