the bass mount wont likely be out till next summer and its just going to be a clip for the afterlengths. nothing worth waiting for in my opinion. as far as the adapter goes, id say its an easy choice. get the flat one and use an external hpf if need one. one that you can adjust any way you want, including turning it off if you want. many amps and preamps have them these days. what ive been using with really great success is an external phantom power supply that cost about $20, then into my fishman pro platinum with the xlr to 1/4" adapter. this works just fine for live playing (i woulnt record this way) and the fishman has a hpf in it. sounds really great this way. any kind of rig you have with an hpf in it would work, you just will have to get the 1/4' adapter and a phantom power supply (about $20).
