DR dropped by to share vids

That's just it. There are players of all levels here and yet the same guy keeps trying to tell us how superior he is and that we should be in awe of him. There are some really good players putting out some very cool stuff, but you don't see them being self indulgent jerks. (you listening DR?)

I'm just happy my band likes what I do and we stay busy, even if I am only a mediocre player at best. Do what you do and enjoy the ride.

You know, I'm a mediocre player at best, too, but I haven't seen anything DR does that makes me feel inadequate.

I wouldn't go that far. I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. From following both threads on this, I think the OP's stance is that he thinks his stage presence inspired two other bands to fire their bass players and the OP is amused by it (and feels a little heartless and arrogant about it). Personally, I didn't really see him trying to say that he's superior to all players on TB and that we should all be in awe of him.

Just my view of it.

I would have just said that he has an inflated sense of self, but that works.

If you're still around, I will be honest with you DR. Your band is not good. Your playing is not very good. If I came in a bar you were playing at, I'd probably make it through about 3 songs. The music stand SCREAMS amateur. They can at least put lyric sheets on the floor in front of a monitor and not look so horribly cheesy. The girls go way off pitch way too often. Average singers at best. The guitard is average at best, and he is, as guitards tend to be, too high in the mix. The song choices are questionable. There are maybe 4 people alive who want to hear a band play Twilight Zone. You're not the worst band I've ever seen. I've certainly seen worse. But as fair as raising the bar, you raised it to about a $250 a night level in a place where most other local bands refuse to play.

I will give you one prop. Your tone is better than your guitard's. He has that over distorted, over processed, solid state, thin crappy guitar tone that I so dislike.
