I put a set on my Fender Jazz MIM (Ash) now I have the sound I was looking for. I tried GHS, Fender, Dean Markley my search is over.

I recommend trying them. MM-45 (45 65 85 105)

I have had my Pavel Jazz Pro 5 deluxe shipped to me with some DR's on them. That was early December 07, I haven't tried any other string brand since.

I love the Stainless steel "Lo Riders", I love the Signature set of Marcus Miller's "Fat Beams", and just the other day (Friday), I wanted to try the Stainless steel "Hi-Beams", I LOVE 'Em.....I tell you what, you can not go wrong with any of these strings mentioned above.

There isn't any other strings out there that I am ready to try just yet.

Thank you DR. Strings for making my life a lot easier.
Now to find a dealer who can sell me some DR. Strings at a reasonable price, cause they are EXTREMELY TOO HIGH PRICED over here in Estonia.

If money was no object, I'd still be playing Fat Beams. Out of the package hands down the best tone out there.. However, if you're looking for a set to hold that tone more than a couple months of weekends, you'll be disappointed...

I'm just used to a set of strings lasting 6-8 months...

I felt the same way about the price, but I wanted to try them for sometime. Guitar Center is having a 15% off sale this weekend so I picked up two sets. The discount I think it's going to be a little more tomorrow so I'm going to pick-up a few more sets.

I've got a set of medium-light (.045-.065-.080-.100) Fat Beams on my fretless four-string. Love 'em.

The relatively smooth texture of the compression-wound outer wrap and the relatively supple feel of the round core make them feel very nice to play. Tonally, they're smooth and refined, with a nice focus and presence in the low mids.

I'm satisfied...

I like 'em too. There's is definitely a difference between Fat Beams and Hi Beams. Fat Beams have a more mid range punch.

Yep. I'm loving the MM45 Fat Beams on my P bass. I finally found the sound I've been looking for.

I DID buy a new amp in search of "the tone" (Aguilar DB750 to replace an SVT-CL). The amp was part of it, but the Fat Beams are the final icing.

Purchased today...6 sets of Fat Beams for $132 (including shipping) on eBay. My G&L and custom J will are in need of the Fat Beam treatment, I feel.

Eric, that's a good price on the strings. I have been looking at Acoustic B200H 200W Bass Head and B115 250W 1x15 Bass Cab Package. The only info I can find is at Guitar Center.

FatBeams are all I use on my #1. The other L2K's have different strings for different flavors (SunBeams on the 96 fretless, Markley nickel Blue Steels on the 84) , but the bass that gets all the work needs the best strings. FatBeams are the shiznit.

I have a set of those strings on my schecter bass and they actually sounded pretty good. I also tried a set of dr high beams on my dean bass and it sounded awesome. dr makes some pretty good strings.

hummm. interesting. I think I'll try fat beam next time I change my strings. I'm very happy with hi-beams but who knows, maybe I'll be even more happy with fat beams

Fat Beams are my #1 String. I like them because they are very versatile. They can get thumpy and low, or they can cut through with the highs. Im a thumper too, and they just have a great thump sound thats not to high but crisp enough.

I just ordered a set of Fat Beams to try for the first time on my P Bass. Juststrings had a good price, but their shipping on a single set certainly offset the bargain! They seem like a very good company, I just hate being gouged for more than double shipping costs, especially considering this is standard USPS mail. For future, I will probably ordeer mulitple sets and get free shipping.

I could've got these local for a bit more, but I was having an anti-GC weekend. GC is like cocaine. You have to lay off of it for at least 6 months to forget how crappy the experience was.

I have a set of these on my Alder/Rosewood J bass. I usually run nickels on it, but the Fat Beams sound awesome. I like them slightly better than Hi Beams. They are just a little thicker down low. Very nice.

yep, great strings...i'm using ss lo-riders now because i like the stiffness as compared to the fatbeams, but i played fatbeams for a while before the switch

+1 for the DR LO-Riders here only strings I use. I tried the Highbeam flats a couple weeks ago not my thing. Went right back to the Lo-Riders after 2 weeks.

Best strings I have ever used.
