DR High Beams and E string buzz

I recently switched from flats over to DR High Beams. I knew going to steel strings would add alot of fret clank but the problem I'm having is just with the E string. I know its more noticeable than the other strings being the thickest string but it seems excessive. Its mostly the 9-12 frets. I like my action nice and low but think I might have to raise it up to help solve the problem. I've checked the truss rod and its adjusted fine. Is this normal with steels or do I have another issue? Like I said all other strings are ok,clanky but an acceptable level of clank.

If you're used to flats, they often have more tension than rounds. So if you are getting some E string buzz, you probably just need to raise the saddle a bit. Sounds like a pretty reasonable symptom of switching string types. Your neck may take a while to fully acclimate to the different tension. Especially if your like low action.

DRs are some of the best rounds out there. Definitely not a problem with the brand.
