DR Lo-Riders question

I came across this tonight -don't think I noticed it before, my wife's DR string pacs list using multiple wraps per string. These happen to be the 45 - 105 set.
The G 45 two .015 + .017 core. D 65 two .09, two .015 + core, A 85 two .014, two .020 + core and E 105 two .09, two .014, two .20 and core. They mention it in text as well as the list.
I would presume this has to be multiple wires combined to form the single wraps?
The odd thing is I can't find even mention of this anywhere else.
Thanks a bunch

G = two ( x diameter of the wrap wire) and the core = single wrap.

D and A = two, two and the core = two wraps.

E = two, two, two and the core = three wraps.

Each layer of winding is counted twice because, as it wraps around the core, the overall diameter of the string is increased by double the thickness of the wrap wire. Makes sense?

1-2-2-3 (wraps) is the common construction for 45-105. What makes the Lo-Riders unique is the final cover wire is thinner than most, resulting in a finer texture and smoother feel.
