DR Lo-Riders vs. Hi-Beams

Absolutely,especially for me because I've been using Dunlop Nickel steels for 1 year or so and I find them to be a little too stiff for my taste,however they do sound good,but I wanted to try something differentIt may be old, but there is still good information here.
Well this thread helped me out, I've tried sunbeams on my jazz and moved to Galli Nickel strings, though I really liked the Sunbeams. However I just got a StringRay and decided to try some Lo Riders after going through this and a few other threads.
I've been using Hi beams as my round wounds strictly for the past 4 years. I love how easy it is to bend and do little vibrato movements, and they just. don't. die.
Aside from that, they mess up my fingers a little bit if I play for more than two hours sometimes, because I tend to play very aggressively. If you play with some restraint they won't hurt you. I can't imagine what would happen to my blistered fingers with something like rotosounds

I've just ordered a bunch of DR varieties in the hope of finally settling on a string for my Fbass BN6D; so far I'm digging Pure Blues and Hi-Beams the most (yes, they are noticeably different from each other).

I love resurrection of old threads. 25 years strong. For me I will typically choose lo riders or fat beams over hi beams however hi beams are awesome strings. They just don't project the mids how I like and the others do. Still better than anything nickel though. If you want bright and flexible strings these are still the king of bright flexible strings.
