DR SCIENTIST's WARD (Club for Post-Op Patients)

John, I hope you like it. Otherwise I might be bit-crushed, like if I were to find out that Santa isn't real.
my Elements arrived about 1/2 hour ago.

it's frickin' AWESOME! IMO, it's one of the best sounding OD/Distortion pedals that I've EVER played thru. it's now in my top 3 of the 300+ OD/distortion/Fuzz pedals that i currently own.
it's build quality is as good as it gets too.
my only regret is that i didn't buy one sooner (and i had been considering buying one for more than 2 years now).

YES! Glad you dig it John! I LOVE Ryan so much dude! hahaha. Everything he makes is so cool. I think this pedal is the most usable pedal I've ever come across besides Darkglass (which I love we know).

Play around with it a lot. There are SOOOOOOOOOO many settings in that sucker. I've done clean boosted with just a pinch of gain, or clean boost with tons of treble, deep throaty distortion, fuzz type tones, I've even found some ring modish tones at different settings. It's such a crazy thing, I don't know how he does it. haha.

Plus Ryan hand does EVERYTHING still. So much love goes into them.

Makes sure to look over the pcb as well. He usually puts some funny stuff on there or different graphics. Very cool stuff.

yeah, I already tried a zillion settings on it and all of them sound great.
as far as comparing it to the DG VMT and two B3K's that I previously owned, IMO, there is no comparison, and I like the Elements better than my Empress Multidrive which I still think is a great OD/dirt pedal.

Ive missed my Elements since I sold it, sometimes you have to learn the hard way.

Now I have the Bitquest to keep me busy, and it does.
I know I don't have the pull JohnK does on recommending pedals but when your at your stores scooping up the Elements and you see a Bitquest next to it... take that quest.

"Have a great BitQuest Bruh!"

Your not helping John, not at all....

Dude seriously. This pedal has been out for years. In fact, I did the first bass demo of it. haha. It wasn't very good, but I did it! I think I was one of the very first to own The Elements. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Ryan has improved it several times too. Added a TON more gain in one of the last revisions.

The Bitquest has been steadily climbing up my to get list. I've had it in the cart a few times, and now the Elements is creeping in too. that is a great gut shot @XXL It's pretty cool he writes that stuff on the board to give it a personal touch. It's kind of silly, but that makes me want one a little more.

I hope the love is still there after the Honeymoon! I'm sure it will be. Not that I'm a connoisseur and the Elements was my FIRST ever dirt pedal, but every tone I've dialled in has been great.

I usually research the hell out of something before I buy it, and I chose The Elements as my first dedicated dirt (MFX don't count) and it did not disappoint. I suggested it to somebody long ago in another thread as a good distortion pedal and was chastised that it was an OD. Well what do I know? I'm just a newb to all this stuff, so I deferred even though I thought I got a great distortion sound out of it.

In fact, I was so impressed with Ryan and my Elements that I'm starting a collection of his pedals. Slowly, surely, there will be a lot of Dr Scientist on my board.

THE SECRET IS OUT! Get your Ryan-hand-made Dr Scientist pedal now, before he has to resort to Gragillixions to build them on Planet Xirinium due to high-demand.

AWESOME! This diagram has sated my GAS for a Woofer Wailer (discontinued, they are hard to find in the wild), but should I find a WW, I'll try to buy it.

JWR, I've got the Snow Elements, is that before or after the "last revision" you spoke of. Not that I need any more gain, I'm perfectly content with my The Elements. The Elements The Elements. Has a nice ring to it, don't you think? ;)
