Dream Rig

I like the old school rock bass sounds of late 60's-70's. Fudgemaster :bassist:

I wouldn't need anything custom, for my taste I wouldn't want anything other than Ampeg. I would have all the models of the Ampeg SVT heads, all the tube models, hybrid models, if it says SVT thats what I want. If I had to pick certain heads I would definately go with the 80-85 MTI SVT's with the square non-tilt front, I think those look sooo awesome! Along with that I would want an SVT-II (NP) and SVT-2 Pro.

For a cabinet I would want the deeper darker sounding 2002-2006 SVT-810E's (if I got those years right). Those heads and cabs would be my dream rig.

My dream rig would have to come with a roadie to carry it around for me. If that was the case, I'd get a Traynor YBA300 with a Traynor TC808 cabinet.

If I had to carry it all by myself, it would probably be a GB Streamliner 900 along with some sort of lightweight cabinet(s), maybe even just another Traynor TC112 to go with the existing one that I already have.

Why is everybody so modest? :D

OK, for real live: Another Tecamp L 810 to get my GenzBenz GBE 1200 to 2 Ohm.

For next time: Two Fender Bassman 300 T, one with a Hexcab 810, one with two Hexcab 415

For imagination: 4 x Sunn 300 T, two with a Hexcab 810, two with a Hexcab 415, one stack 810 and one 815 on every side of the drum riser.

Two roadies (at least) and a van.

Aaaaaw, just forgot: Some more MusicMan - Basses :D

The preamp from my Fender Bassman TV Duo Ten, actually two of them; one stock for my clean channel, and one modified with more gain that I can run as my 'crunch channel', all mated to the 300w all-tube power section of a Fender Super Bassman complete with all the bells and whistles like auto-bias, etc. Then I'd have a second one with the power section of the Baseman 100t.
As for cabs, I'd go for an Aguilar DB412, a DB212 and a pair of Fender Neo 115's just to cover all venue sizes. Oh and all of it would be finished in tweed with oxblood grillcloths.

Hey, you said money was no object...

I finally thought of a dream rig...

A micro that has all the kick of an SVT into a 15 lb cab that moves more air than an 810e and sounds just like one.

If you're going to dream, dream big.
