Dream Rig

Wireless->REDDI->GCX Switcher->Amps
2PRO+810e miked w/AE2500
Titan V12+1515/66/1 U5 for speaker DI
VT737+Simulstereo 295+210av miked w/AE2500

Classic SVT grind from the 2pro... Sub bass all coming from the REDDI. Titan for the hifi modern kind of tones and the distortion, and the 737 and power amp for the real warm tubey stuff. It's only 6 channels in the board, but hey, who's counting? Oh, and hey, while I'm at it, I need a distressor for each of the two DIs.

Since i unfortunately have to live in the REAL world and I'm my own roadie my main concern is size and weight so my dream rig is what i currently have, A Markbass CMD102P combo amp. Sounds good, cuts good as a stage fill amp (I always run into the front end sound system to fill the house) it's small and only weights 44 lbs.

MY ultimate rig would be one i use to own, an Ampeg Pro5 head bridged to push 1350WTS at 4 ohms into an ampeg 4X10 4 ohm cab. Filled any stage with high volume high HEADROOM bass sound, it was louder than any amp i ever played through before or since but sounded like it wasn't even working up a sweat. NEVER farted, NEVER overloaded, it was pure thunder. Problem was it weighted a ton, it killed me to move it, and sound men and the guitarists in my band hated it because I was way to loud on stage. (and i was!;-) I could drown out Marshall amps if I wanted too. ... But it was major over kill to play local night clubs and bars. It would have been awesome in concert halls and huge stages though.

Dream rig? I though you'd never ask :D
2 Meyer CQ-1 (run in stero) driven by
2 Avalon VT 737
I'd also put a VT deluxe in front, for when I needed that SVT sound
The VT would have a chorus in the FX loop, for the DFA kind of vibe
I would also run a bug crusher, a big muff pi, mxr blowtorch, boss giga delay, a Fender '63 reverb, a pog mothership, and a tech 21 British, for yet another tube-sounding distortion option. Obviously, it require a bit of tweaking to get the whole thing set just right, but it would be far beyond brutal, and insane in all the best ways :)
