Dream Rig

I agree I am actually pretty content and love the rig I have now. But for the sake of the thread I would say I would upgrade to a Mesa PowerHouse 8x10 cabinet and switch my current amp out for a Mesa M6 or M9 Carbine. That would be a rig I could see myself playing happily if money were no issue.

For me, it's gotta be lightweight and compact. Even if money really was no object, I do love a real 'street sleeper' of a rig.

Currently using a Streamliner 600 into a Schro 15PL, but would like to swap the Schro for a 2x12", such as a Barefaced Super12T, or maybe a Genz Neox.

This rig, for me, would have everything:

1. Gorgeous, meaty warm tone.
2. Plenty of volume and real bottom end.
3. Super lightweight.
4. Small size - will fit in my Ford Puma dead easy.
5. One trip load in. Bass and amp in a gig bag, cab in hands!

Sorted!

I'd play exactly what I do now, but would get a car to get to gigs more easily and possibly invest in a Glockenklang pre amp.

My current pre has no features, like eq etc. and works extremely well-for recording especially- and I do not miss them either, but getting a more mainstream pre might come in handy none the less, from time to time.

Phil Jones P1 or Glockenklang Bass Art Classic Preamp into a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed].

Bongo 5 HH, Fender Roscoe Beck V, & Fender AmStd P5 as input instruments.

Roadies and a van would be a must!

Since I'd have roadies, I'd also take a Mesa M9 + Powerhouse 1200, a Genz Benz ShuttleMax 9.2 + Neox-112T (pair), and a Genz Streamliner 900 + Neox-212T.
That stuff plus most of the Bergantino cabs made over the years would probably keep me very happy.

Two Kustom 250 heads over two Kustom 215 cabs - black tuck-n-roll please - original 1970's gear and tone. I've got the cab now and it is amazing; sadly the two heads I have are both shot. But when they were working they sounded fantastic. One set of these is thunderous - two would be giggidy-licious!

I'd have Glockenklang build me an 8x10" and a 4x15" and then decide which I like better (although I would probably keep both anyway).
They would also have to build me a 10 band graphic EQ with adjustable Q-factors into one of their amps :)
