Dream Rig

My perfect rig would be a threeX10 inch 8ohm cab wired down to 2 ohm combo with a built in tube 500watt amp with casters in the bottom and a mounted guitar stand on both sides. That would be sweet and one day I want to make one. That and two bass case would be all I would need for any show.

A fEARful 12/6/1 and 12 sub being powered by a Genz Benz ShuttleMAX 9.2. Bring the 12/6/1 to rehearsals and small gigs, and whip out the sub for anything that needs to have walls torn down! The ShuttleMAX would be priority over the fEARfuls though, I'm loving my EA CXL112E at the moment... a pair of those + ShuttleMAX would be killer too!

I like all my pre's
so one rig for each

Aguilar 680/728
Bergantino HT115's

Hellborg Pre/500/500
Hellborg BigCab's

Eden WP100/WT1550
BFM Jack15's

Mick Pope MPP-1 / Crest CA9
fEarful 1515/66/1's

Red is what I need to add.

I have pretty close to my dream rig. Money wasn't really a factor although I didn't go out of my way to waste it either.

Right now the essential parts are:

Avalon U5
Tech21 Sansamp RBI
Avid Eleven
dbx 266xs compressor
Alesis rackmount line mixer
TC Electronics G-major II
Crown XLS power amp
MarkBass 2x10 and 1x15

What I am probably going to add soon is a Sansamp RPM and another compressor. At a certain point it becomes an issue of diminishing returns. A little complexity is great and necessary for certain blended tones. Beyond that you could easily spend all day turning knobs and having nothing but mud to show for it.

No wait, my dream rig is an SVT and an 8x10 with a blonde (female) roadie to schlepp it around. Yeah, that's what I meant to say. (Schlepping the rig. Get your mind out of the gutter. I'm not even aware of another meaning of the word schlepp.)

Two Kustom 250 heads over two Kustom 215 cabs - black tuck-n-roll please - original 1970's gear and tone. I've got the cab now and it is amazing; sadly the two heads I have are both shot. But when they were working they sounded fantastic. One set of these is thunderous - two would be giggidy-licious!

here you go.[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Phil Jones P1 or Glockenklang Bass Art Classic Preamp into a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed].

Bongo 5 HH, Fender Roscoe Beck V, & Fender AmStd P5 as input instruments.

Roadies and a van would be a must!

Roadies and a van...hmmm...

Add a rack case with a Mike Pope MPP-1 preamp into one side of an EV P2000 power amp into a Bergantino vertical stack of an HT112 & a pair of EX112 and an Ampeg SVT-IIP preamp into the other side of the P2000 into a Bergantino NV610.

Good thing my dreams are simple, I think I'd pretty much just want everything I have already. A few vintage Ampegs for different sized gigs (SVT, V4/V4B, Portaflex), with a pair of flatback 810s and a pair of V4B 215s so I can switch up the cabs should I ever feel like it. Only have 1 flatback right now though.

Ampeg PF500 and Barefaced Super Twelve T, lightweight, compact and powerful with tone to die for :D
This is my ultimate one trip from car to stage rig !

Not so much the MIM Precision, thats my number two !
