Driving 4 Bass Amps?

Yeah.... I do NOT want to be a jerk.... but... we're sounding a wee bit on the "absolutely effing ridiculous" side.

But I guess I'll address this thing as if I was sure it was a real situation....

Bottom line, if you have 2 of the same fullstacks... and your unhappy with the tone... then my guess is that you need to push both fullstacks off of a cliff, or donate them to me... one of the two.

Get an entirely new head and cab or something... because.... I could go out and buy 12 Behringer Fullstacks and screw with the EQ for 10 years... and I'd still be unimpressed with the tone. And frankly, my solution wouldnt be "Damn! I better go and get myself s'more of that awesome Behringer Merchandise!"

Hi everyone, I hope this is the right forum, I'm new here.

My current setup is - Bass to Boss GT-6B (stereo out) to two Ampeg SVT 2-PRO's with two 810 cabs. I want to add two more amp stacks (two stacks per stereo side) I just order two Radial Tonebone HotShot ABY passive switchers.

My idea is -
Bass to Boss GT-6B (stereo out) to two Radial HotShot's to 4 Amps.

Do you have a better idea? How do you recommend driving 4 bass amps.

Thanks,
Joe

>>> Get rid of them and get 1 good one.

Thanks to those of you who tried to help me, the rest of you can go play on a freeway. :spit: Psycho Bass Guy, I'm going to contact Radial to see if they make a stereo (2-ch) 3 amp version of the JD7. Thank you so very much for your time and help.

Paul Determan, please check your email, I reported some of the rude jerks as you asked me too. But I don't want to be member of this website any longer, please delete my membership as I asked you.

Rude? What, us? :D

First thing is we try to have a sense of humor around here. If you have taken offense to some of these post (including mine) then I apoligize. However, you really need to get some thicker skin if some anonymous guys on the web can get to you that easy. Everybody gets ribbed around here. Heck I like BC Rich basses and that gets me plenty of grief! :smug:

Second, you make your first post asking about the absurdity (IMO) of running four amps w/four 810's. Well, thats what I (and I think many others) are sort of led to believe anyways considering no other amp info is given. Then later somehow Marshall amps come into the picture. Considering Marshall isn't known for making bass amps (I know they do/did) and no other info on what you are trying to accomplish you come off very suspect. You haven't even said what kind of "control" your looking for with your four amp setup.

Third, as a result of the info I put forth above, you sound like a 13yo kid (no offense to our younger members!) that is either daydreaming, doesn't know what they are talking about, is yanking our chain, or a combination of the three. If you are serious, fill out your profile and get detailed with what you are trying to do. Especially the "control" part of your idea.

Remember we are here to help but we are also here to have fun.
