Dude, You're Getting Screwed by Dell!

No wonder Ben Curtis started smoking dope. Dell just plain sucks.

The date was February 16th. I placed an order for a new Xbox 360 Christmas Bundle with an extra game. It was the last day of the $120 off sale and my old Xbox was dying.

So... I pulled the trigger on the system, and then it occurred to me that I needed a way to transfer the data from hard drive to hard drive, so I threw a memory card in the box. First, for those who don't know, the Xbox memory cards are $50. They're ridiculously priced and nobody uses them for a good reason.

Needless to say, I got the memory card the next day and opened it up starting to transfer stuff, figuring the Xbox was a day behind. Nope, instead I get an email saying I won't get the system until 3/4. Well, the package was already opened, so I figured what the heck, March 4th isn't too far away.

Well, I get an email today saying the order was delayed AGAIN, and I had to act now to keep my order, otherwise the FTC would make them cancel my order and there goes my great deal on an Xbox. Well, I called and canceled the order, and when I spoke to the guy, he says the two week delay was an estimate and they may or may not have it in by then.

So, screw Dell, screw Microsoft. No wonder I use a Mac. Hardware doesn't fail and the customer service doesn't suck.

Ah, I didnt know you could order Xbox's through Dell. Thats some s****y service. Maybe you can sell your memory card to someone on craigslist.
I think they're trying to be an all-around electronics distributor.

I had bad experiences with their customer service years ago, and gave them a second chance. My mistake.

Oh, and they pride themselves on not outsourcing their call centers? Yes, I had a guy named Julio who barely spoke English. I guess it's technically not outsourcing if it's a bunch of illegal aliens answering phones in the US.

Man, the Carvin store near my house closed down...

Musta knew I was coming with my bat.

I was really excited about the deal I was getting on the power amp, but my ACME Low-B4 has been sitting in my room now for a week (effectively nullifying my trial period) and ACME told me that it was on back-order...Carvin did no such thing and moved the ship date on me 3 times...They say that it will be here tomorrow.

I sure don't see how this is Microsoft's fault. Dell is the one that didn't have the 360 in stock.

I have 4 PC's that I built myself. Never had a hardware failure on any of them. But they are not Mac's, so they obviously suck. I dual boot PCLinuxOS and XP on all four of them. Never had any OS issues with them either, including XP.:rollno:
