Dunlop - Super Bright Nickle Bass Strings

Sounds like these strings will be the DR/D'Addario killer.

Tried both the nickel and steel. They are very deep yet very bright with very low tension, like DR, but they have a hex core. Great strings if you like that feel.
I prefer tighter, higher tension strings, so I am selling these cheap in the accessories section of the classifieds, if you want to try them!

These are my new favorite strings! I have the nickel set on and I am blown away to say the least. These are the first strings that I've liked right out of the package. The full spectrum is there and they are full bodied unlike most strings I've tried where I need to wait 2-3 weeks for them to break in and for the mids to be present. I love the tension too... But they are weird in the greatest way; they sound tight and focused like higher tension strings, specially when played open, but are super flexible and a joy to play. For me they are life-changing!
And for reference, here's a short list of strings I've spent a significant amount of time with in the past: DR LoRider Nickel, D'addario XL and ProSteels, Black Diamond Nickel and Black Coated Nickel, Carvin Nickels (made by La Bella) and 'regular' Dunlop Nickels.

I already love Dunlop nickels and steels, so these are probably even better for my purposes, as the only downside is the fact that they are slightly muted to my taste. I'll definitely try them out.
FYI these strings have a very low tension so you should order a larger string if you want the same tension. I tried the .125 but it did not have the same tension as a regular .125 string. I am ordering .130's in both steel and nickel to see if they have the same tension as a regular .125.

From the 125's I tried they are very bright yet deep which I really like, but for me they also must have enough tension as I attack the strings pretty hard. I'm thinking a 130 will probably feel the same as a regular 125, so we'll see.
Based on this clip, I'm not getting the steels. They sound very good but too scooped for what I am looking for. The nickels should have more mids.
Those nickels are intense. Definitely have a lot of signal slamming through. Sounds like my new fav string, because it honestly sounds like a Dunlop simply adding highs!
Thanks for getting these string compares together. I'm going with the Steels. My current strings have a lot of life left in them though
Yep, the original bass strings had more of a focus on the fundamentals, whereas these have much more of the upper harmonic content intact. I was also informed that there will be 6 string sets, as well.

I play on the new Dunlop Super Bright SS. They are Da Bomb. I've played on most all popular brand of roundwounds to include Nickels. These get my vote.
