Dunwich Amplification General Discussion

It’s amazing what a different amp and space can do. I played with with the mini Wizard again this morning. Man I found almost everything I was looking for. Too bad it was my home practice set up as opposed to my main rig. Needless to say I obviously have to play with it more but I’m psyched I know i can work with it.
Volume is also a huge factor, literally every drive pedal and amp sounds better loud IMO.

Three white Wizards on Reverb right now. I wonder why.

I've noticed those as well and looks there's just one White Wizard listed now. I almost scored a little green Wizard last week from Reverb but when I went to purchase it the seller had changed their mind and literally pulled it an hour beforehand :facepalm:. Happened again this week too, but with a different gem. Haha, I feel like I'm stuck in limbo in a pre-order waiting room! Point being, I ended up buying a Volt Thrower last week from a seller that had just got the VT 125B version so after a shootout he went with the new version and let the other go. Just speculating, but maybe its just simply something along those lines.

Btw, this is my first Dunwich pedal (I'm still learning and discovering). As soon as I plugged the Dingwall into the Volt Thrower and dug in, there it was! That brutal spank; the whole reason I'd went after the Volt Thrower. And, those diodes! I can't wait to throw it into a Loop Blender. I don't really play anything genre specific like doom, stoner, etc. but I love the distinct doomy tones and use them to find an original voice in other musical contexts ;) I'm finding the VT to be the right tool for the job. Much appreciated Dunwich!

The VT is a killer distortion no matter the version.

@dunwichamps

What can you tell me about the "differential od" I just picked up off the classifieds here?
SOLD - Dunwich Differential OD

Very little online about it. I just added it to my Dunwich rarities collection which includes the Shalashaska Klon. Thanks.

I will have to source up a schematic but I think its part JFET preamp part LM386 power amp ic.

Thanks. No need to go thru any trouble. I just thought you may remember something from the build. The JFET and LM386 sound right. I was mainly wondering if it was based on anything or was an original circuit.

Its fairly original. I just put in different building blocks and came up with an idea. Most of the time when Im developing new ideas I start with different building blocks like individual gain stages or EQs and then arrange them as I develop the circuit on paper/simulator.
