Dunwich Amplification General Discussion

This is truly surprising to me. I find unity to be somewhere left of 12 o’clock. I’ve never had to bring my master past 1 o’clock, which gives me a pungent boost.
I guess it all depended on where the gain was set, but I liked my gain lower than I think most people and I had to compensate with the Master almost all the way up. I had very little left in the tank at my preferred gain setting. Having said that, I rebought the new one because I loved the sound of old Whitey.

It’s so diminutive... definitely going to have some fun this weekend. I’ll even get to gig with it tomorrow!

The Wizard for the win...guaranteed

The long and short of it, is yes. The SC mini has more low end, thicker fuzz/clipping. Whereas the Wizard mini is more open and has a natural top end, but still plenty of girth. My only hangup is that the SC is a touch smaller, so I'd have to step to a larger board or ditch a pedal on my mini. Luckily I'm in a place where I can keep both. The mini Wizard absolutely slays in front of my Model Fett.

It’s amazing what a different amp and space can do. I played with with the mini Wizard again this morning. Man I found almost everything I was looking for. Too bad it was my home practice set up as opposed to my main rig. Needless to say I obviously have to play with it more but I’m psyched I know i can work with it.
