A couple recommendations. First, you could contact Jorg and see if you can return it.
He seems to be a super cool guy (and bass player)
Second, like you said, leave it and try it out. It may just grow on you.
Just for giggles, was there a particular reason you chose white?
Myself, I think the white cab is gorgeous, like most of Jorg's stuff.
Here's a bonus: It will be the perfect cab for wedding parties!
EDIT: After some consideration, could you tell us a little about how the cab sounds to you? What you'll use it for?
Schroeder is high end stuff and I think you made a great choice.

Shoot - what a shame. Not much you can do to change the color unfortunately. That cab is pretty much trash. Tell you what - I'm feeling generous - I'll allow you to ship it to me.

You could cover it in durex, which would help protect it and probably make it easier to get it in/out of the car, but it wouldn't change the color much unless you put a bunch of coats on.

Bonding to cured Line-X s not always successful (depending on the surface finish, there are many ways to augment the material). If your attempt ends up with poor bonding, you will end up with a real mess on your hands.
I have a sample shot with second coat just a little bit too late for good bonding. I can scrape the stuff off easily. It's the lightly textured semi-smooth surface that cleans up fairly easily when dirty. We used the material in pro audio a lot.
My experience with DuraTex is that it's nowhere near as durable as the genuine Line-X (and other 2 part catalized products) with much poorer adhesion. It's more like a fortified paint than an industrial coating.

A second coat of LineX would add significant weight.

IIRC, it's Rhino Liner, not Line-X. And it appears from a quick look at Jorg's website that it's a Custom Shop build, so there may be a restocking fee if doing an exchange. IME Jorg is great about going the extra mile on customer service though.
Personally, I dig the look and I'd just rock it as-is.
I'm just being my typical spazzy ocd self when it comes to bass gear. I've owned my current bass for two years, but before this I've owned more than a dozen in the past six years - never more than one at a time...
I really like the cab and will rock it as is. It sounds great, is a breeze to move, and the white makes it different than everyone else's.

I believe that is an excellent choice. Regardless of color I'll bet as time goes on you'll grow to love that cab!

It sounds great! Full and clear. I'm going to be using when I play out, which isn't that often. I got it because I had two abdominal surgeries this summer and I wasn't going to be hoisting my 85 lb 410 around anymore. This cab weighs 38 lbs, is 800w, and is 4 ohms so I get all 500w out of my head. I can always add another 4 ohm cab since my head goes down to 2 ohms.

Do it right. It won’t be a lot of work.
Remove the hardware. Then remove the white surface with a sander, 60 grit. Be careful not to change the edge roundover. Leave some roughness in the plywood for the Duratex to bind to.

IDK... Duratex doesn't stick all that well to much but bare wood. It doesn't get along with bondo, spackle, primer, or metal. I wouldn't think it'd adhere well to a different poly finish.
