dynacord BA300

If we're on photos - here's the Imperator, actually the high end variant of the Basskings:

Invalid Link Removed

The input section seems to be mostly identical to that of the Bassking T, except that a treble and bass boost is added (*really* useful).

The name is program: this beast gets up to 110 Watts out of two (!!!) EL34 runnig at "only" 740 V (compared to 780 V in the G-2000).

Oh wow! I just stumbled across this while googling....
That picture sure brings back memories!
Though I do play bass and guitar, I'm primarily a keyboard player... and as a teenager in 1971, when the first 'proper' band I'd joined, Rashamra, started getting lots of work, I was able to afford to buy an Imperator to use with my Hohner electric piano here in Adelaide, Australia. I continued using it through the 70's and 80's, lugging it around Australia through punk bands and beyond - it was an awesome and really reliable old amp. Unfortunately when I split with my first wife in the early 90's, I got the kids and she got nearly everything else [I still know I got the best deal!! ;) ] including most of my equipment - including the Dynachord.
I've got a couple of differing sized Hartke and Laney amps for bass & keys now, but NOTHING beats that old Imperator! It had so much grunt!
Thank you so much for that picture! I'd love to see if I can find one again, but I daresay they're probably too 'collectible' and expensive now...
btw... this is a cool forum - I'll have to put the bassist I usually play with these days onto you folks - she's a producer on the ABC and community radio, and switched from guitar to bass a few years ago and is right into the tech aspects.
Cheers

I got a used TC Electronics RS112 cabinet to go with my Dynacord Eminent II.

This cabinet is deep so the amp sits on it sideways! Since the amp is very hi-fi, the cabinet, although from a very different era, complements it perfectly.

I like the sound of my "ASAT-Jazz" with this combination! Pics later.

That's how the Eminent stacks with the TC cab. Sounds killer now that I have had the chance to play it a bit more. So far, no complaints from neighbors. :bassist:

I bought exactly same amplifier just few hours ago. Tested it half minute and because price wasn't bad, I took it immediately. Cool amp with new tubes and whole thing checked out by really pro repair man.

Jeppis, tsekkasin sun profiilin. Kovia vekottimia.

I'm not a Dynacord owner but this thread did bring back a memory.

In the mid Sixties my band opened for an outfit out of Germany in a place called La Scala in Runcorn, Cheshire UK. The band called the Rattles were supposedly Germany's answer to the Beatles. They all dressed in black leather outfits and we were properly impressed by their backline of Dynacord amps. Not a bad band but very much standoffish. Nowadays I put that down to a possible language barrier. :)

I've got an "old" C'85 Dynacord powered mixing desk. It's absolutly superb.
Always sounds wonderful, where more modern gear (that I can afford) needs eq & add on fx, the Dynacord just sounds crystal clear & works-always.
"CD like" is how ppl describe our PA sound when we use it.
Quality stuff

My studio console is designed by DDA (british company bought by Midas) and built by Dynacord, I know exactly what you mean. I first tested it live, and at first I had trouble using it because I couldn't tell what was PA and what was stage bleed. Now that's transparent sound ;)

Last week there was aa BA 300 on the evilBay. I contacted the seller asking about shipping to Finland. All seemed OK, but at bidding time - that option was not available! Fortunately the amp sold for about 50 euros more than I wanted to pay for it.
