I'm in a band with two guitarplayers. I use a hiwatt 4x12 (wich has the dimensions of a 2x15). The cab is a maxwatt cab (2005 or so). They are fane sprakers. I use it with a ba300 and sounds great.

I agree, but it's at my home for now as my practice amp, so road wear will not be an issue, at least in a while.

Jan Wüsten's katalogue site is fully sufficient. Well, might be a bit nicer. Anyway, getter good service and a simple cataloge (which takes less work to maintain!)than a super duper shop and anonymity.

No, these are 15's. The DIY cab runs an Emi Kappalite 3015, the other cab is a custom box by 909cabs running a Deltalite 2515, see here: Link Removed

The Kappa is louder while the Delta is a bit deeper.

So a 100 watt head sounds like a 300 watt head with 100+db of sensitivity .... What would an old '70's EV do? 88db 92 db? So You have like a 8db louder clean sound.... Now that's quite a step forward!!

Well, 15" speakers typically do 97-99 dB, inversely dependent on their bandwidth. Technical progress is not noticeable in sensitivity. Most obvious is power handling.

I thought a sensitive speaker would create a sound at like 0,5 watts where a insensitive speaker would need 1 watt to give the same performance.... Does this not result in the sensitive speaker being louder wen fed with like 20 watts?

That's the shorty. 78.5 cm, a bit longer than Gibson or the EPI EB-0. You might note heavy modifications. The latest - not changing the looks further - is a custom made bridge PU. Next weak i am going to install an ARTEC SE-2 active electronics (i should have done my own concept but lack the time).

That will look stunning in your hands... Such a bass in white won't look good in my hands... But it will look dropdead gorgeous in the hands of a girl!! What are you looking to get out the preamp?
