dynacord BA300

Klemt made a 8x10 or something like that rather early. So I'm still on the lookout. In the series of the BA300 there was a 8x10 and 2x15 available too. And in those days those amps were in semi custom format available too. You could order them in RED WHITE BLACK and brown too.... It just would cost an arm and a leg... Quite a few of those amps are in private hands ......

Last week I used my BA300 with it's DI into a Yamaha MG 16fx mixer. And the DI really drove the input nuts. The BA300's DI is way way too hot for that mixer. I even put the EQ on zero. A simple way to kill overload by a too hot input signal. But even then I could clip the input. I have bought a Klark Teknik DN100 to take care of this overly hot DI output and see what it will get me.. To be continued.

So 12 dbm at 600ohm would mean 3,08 volts RMS.
But if it's 200 ohms it could mean 1,78 volts RMS .

Hmm...

The max. domestic recording level of −10 dBV means 0.3162 volts, that is −7.78 dBu

1,228 volts is 4 DBU. So in either way the output of the XLR is probably allmost linelevel.

In the manual of the Yamaha mixer it states about the line level inputs:
–10 dBu (245 mV) (minimal input) +10 dBu (2.45 V) (average peaklevel) +30 dBu (24.5 V) (just before clipping)
Wouldn't this mean (if ohmage is 600) this D.I. out is a line level output?

Would that mean line level? Cause then a xlr to jack cable would suffice..

Well. This weekend a Klark Teknik DI box arrived. The lead guitar player of the band is married and now on honeymoon. When he returns next week I will try the amp with this box. But if it's just plain line level, I'll use a xlr to jack wire and plug it in a linelevel input on the mixingdesk. I do have all the wiring too. So I will A/B.

P.s Passinwind. Thanks so much for putting me on the right track. I did some calculations with your tool and it opened my eyes. Very convenient.
