EA CXL112's - E vs. L

Anybody know the difference between the EA CXL112-E and the CXL112-L? Are these different from the CXL112 without a letter at the end?

Also, if anybody can divine EA serial #'s, I'd like to pin down the date of mine. Mine is 112EA050.

Inquiring minds want to know...
