I am old enough to remember when PJ basses were pretty new. Either the Yamaha BB2000/3000 were the first I remember, the Fender Jazz Specials, Kramer, or maybe the Spector NS-2.
I wonder what the earliest concert or album picture with a PJ is?

However it would be more interesting to find out which was the earliest standard production model which was introduced on the market after the mods of plus or minus famous players ...
The Yamaha BB was my understanding, but it looks like a tie with the Ibanez more or less.
