Stumbled across the Dirt Transmitter and the Hoof on one of my romps through the web and wanted to know if anybody here had any comments on how they sounded on bass.

The Hoof is played 1/16th of the time on this epic vid, 3rd of 16 Andy & 16 fuzz pedals (& bass) - YouTube sounds like it retains low end well.

The Dirt Transmitter is fuzz-face based IIRC, and the Hoof is their take on a Big Muff. Both of them sound awesome on bass and keep a good amount of low-end. And they're super-cool dudes, to boot.

I have a couple of EQD pedals and the build quality, sound quality, and customer service are consistently excellent. I can't speak for the Dirt Transmitter, but the Hoof is an amazing pedal on bass. There are other, more doomy bass fuzzes out there, but for a straight-up Muff style fuzz, the Hoof is amazing. Just make sure it is the newer, 4-knob model, not the 3-knob version.

I have the Hoof (with 4 knobs), sounds great on bass ! You can get various tones from dirty overdrive to huge fuzz, always really organic. I play it with a PBass into an Ampeg V4BH or a Genz Benz Streamliner 900, it suits both well, very natural sounding.
