Anybody else have dates they want to post through April?

Side note: just a few more posts and we're over 1000 for ETTB Part 2! I'll take care of creating Part 3, posting a link here, and closing this thread. Just a heads-up that this is coming so everyone will be ready to update your thread subscription.

My side job subbing has turned permanent for one band I was working with. Renegade will become the Odell Brummett Band now that I'm on board.

I am playing Into the Woods at West High in Knoxville. We were going to open it tonight and play it next Friday and Saturday, but the weather has closed things up in Knox County Schools. As it did in most of this part of the country.

So.. tonight was canceled, then tomorrow (Friday) night due to KCS being out again tomorrow. It looks like we will play the show Sat/Sun/Mon nights now, each night at 7 PM at West High auditorium.

Crazy show. I'm facing away from the stage, so can't see what's going on. I have never counted as much in a show. Lots of rests, as well as wacky time signatures. Stephen Sondheim at his screwiest!

Playing the fretted Zenith nanoweb mode (piezo) into the FDeck Series III, thence into a DI into a sound system with count them, four, subwoofer cabs, two 15's each. Eeek!

having just relocated to N GA, actually Chattanooga suburbs really - I wonder if there is enough interest in a 'bass shop' locally?

I own enough EBs, EUBs & DBs to get a good start - it would be oriented toward rare and atypical stuff (no value packs, etc.)

the curious part is that it would be easy, cheap and simple to start but not sure if there would be much demand

luckily it wouldn't need to make much profit, just basically pay for itself and cover costs

what does the community think?

For a prototype, there is a high end guitar shop in Nashville where the woman works out of her home, so she essentially has no additional rent. She advertises heavily but for safety reasons gives her number only, not her address. Serious buyers are given an appointment. This arrangement tends to discourage tire kickers and helps protect her inventory. Seems to be working pretty well.

I have an opportunity to share nice space with someone established moving into downtown Chatt

Maybe a hybrid model where the high-end stuff is behind glass & appointments made for extended private tryouts

Carry a cross section of amps having limited dealer representation elsewhere
