Dan, your Les Paul shaped basses look interesting. Don't see many of those. What's the story?

The black with chrome was a refinished gibson from approx 2003. I had a pair of sunburst and had that one refined in black, but both have since been sold. The other is an Esp/ Ltd ec 404 which I also have 2 of from an old endorsement they are from about 2005ish not bad basses.

Not a lot of Fortune 500 companies down here. On the flip side, cost of living is pretty low.

Gotcha, not lookin to get rich just pay my bills and enjoy my life and family more than I can in NY working 6 1/2 days a week just scraping by.

It's expensive in NY that's for sure. Did you move to NY permanently or is it a temp situation?

Leaving NYC (as well as moving there in the first place) is one of the best things I ever did.
Of course, even when I was making better money, I still lived purposefully as if I was barely scraping by.

Very easy to get a permit. I manage a convenience store, and people use them as ID for alcohol all the time.

Probably not a big deal. You would simply go to your local DMV and request to transfer...I think.

No permits needed for ownership. As for carry permits, Tennessee is a will issue state. Tennessee is a very gun friendly state.

When I first moved back from NYC, all I could hear around me was gunshots—often automatic.

The guy that was working on my house said, "You don't want to be the only guy on the block without one."

So now I'm the one making all the noise. I'm way back off the road in the woods, so I leave plenty of spent shells in a pile outside so any would-be criminal knows he's bound to get blasted if he crosses my threshold. (Plus, I like to scare salesmen and Jehovah's Witnesses if the make the long bumpy trip up my driveway.)

No one is stealing my guitars!

Lol that's awesome. I'm from upstate ny about an hour north of NYC. It's NOTHING like NYC up here. It's actually not hard to get your permit up here, but I can't carry in NYC. Anyone know anything about motocross tracks in east TN?
