Do you think I am complaining...?![]()
Thank you Richard!!!A few of you got to see and play my Wishbass at our last Motown GTG. It was ordered from and built by Steve Wishnevsky and finished and set up by TB's own Thunderitter who cleaned up the rough edges, added a second pickup and applied the orange tinted stain to it. As I have played it over the past couple of years, the tone pot quickly lost its functionality and the stacked volume pots seemed to only work over the last 25% of their swept area. This is probably due to low quality or previously used parts that were part of the original build. Since Thumpin_P did such a great job on my newly acquired Clement, I enlisted his services to rectify the issues I was experiencing with the Wishbass. Paul again delivered. The tone pot now has the desired effect, where before it had none and both volume pots have an even and predictable increase in volume across their swept area. The bass is now louder than ever before leading me to believe there were problems from day one that Paul has rectified. He also added a ground wire. No small feat considering the bass has a moveable ebony bridge. Kudos again to Thumpin_P. If you have work that needs to be done, from minor tweaks to major overhauls, Paul is your man!
I wanted to let you guys know, I talked to a moderator about how to go about leaving feedback for "repairs". I explained Thumpin_P is doing a lot of repairs and service for TB members here in East Tennessee, he told me to create a feedback thread, with as many details as possible, including pictures, and then close it.
So here's your chance to do a good turn for Thumpin_P, I've posted a link to the thread I just created for one of the repairs he did for me.
