The bluegrass band of the past 5 years only played a few honky tonks, thankfully--I really had my fill of playing in those years ago, so I've avoided any possible entanglements that would take me back down that road. No qualms about grabbing a beer or a bar burger in one, but seriously don't want to work until 2am in one any more.

No, not the band Chicago, but that would be great! The drummer says he studied under the same teacher as Danny Seraphine though.
Very appreciative of the opportunity, only time I have any real growth spurt as a musician is when I surround myself with superior talent and step out of my comfort zone. A lot of material to cover that I can't just show up and play reflexively, so that's a good challenge for me.
